Hmmm yeh i would say that was certainly the messiest NY ever  4 me!!! Well done!!! i had many adventures from finding myself climbing trees to drowning in baby pools to water pistols attacking me to losing my car keys and other things but that was all part of the fun!
It was my first messy party too so looking forward to the next one whenever it is........... :cl:

Re: Grotesque Grandeur NYE

Big thanks to messy crew- the music was especially sublime on the second night. We had the option of going back to see Mr. Hawtin on the second night, but glad we passed. Nothing we saw/heard for 2005 matched the second night. Really that messy tag team shit was way good?. the Acid ambience... the pro mixing. the freedom. the minimal?the ghetto freak stuff?and the genuine enthusiasm for electronic music?. just remembering it all sends zaps and bangs into my head  ;D Please release some production or start a messy label because it?s truly world class guys/girls.

And to Darren and Jason it?s so nice of you guys to welcome so openly the collective mass into your strange home. You guys are like the pioneers up in Seymour and I?m sure you can engage the community with your plans.

Warm regards
N and B

thanks for the praise monty!

shame it was so hot on NYE as people really missed out on the music in the main room.

Yeah cheers Monty. That second night was great. It was good to be able to relax and just enjoy it all, and being a few degrees shy of the furnaces of hell was a nice reprieve too.

Yeah it was hot, but G 'n' R made it all worthwhile (especially when they ended with 'Sweet Child O' Mine'
Tongue)

Here are some more pics... (darn flash played up on the night for some reason) And no, I didn't get the 'Light Saber Burlesque Review' - that's right, blame it on the boogie...

wicked shots. .. dont worry about the flash .. I find flashes always ruin photo's anyway!!

Not sure if anyone caught the light saber act on film/digi ... maybe Talx did .. ubt we have to wait until 1) she finishes the film and 2)she gets the film developed ...

And never fear Bezza ... we'll mess it all up again for you soon!!

more soon!!

Any shots of the sleeping babies on the chestfields?
Everyone looked so peaceful with that boom-boom going on.

We were taking pics this light-streaking Holga camera with the aim to post here- but unfortunately the heat was too much for our Holga and the film melted or something....

What a bummer!  Damn heat!!  Although it always makes a fantastic change from the Melbourne crappy winters!!

If anyone has photo's they'd like to see up on the photo page please forward them to for screening, sizing and posting!!

Cheers and beers!
